Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 – really a collection of updates and security fixes in one big pack.

It will be available via the normal Windows Update or you can download it directly from Microsoft here .

Microsoft recommends you download from Windows Update as it will be a smaller download customised for your particular computer.
