..a new browser. Google has just released its own browser as it attempts to wrench world-domination from Microsoft.

It will aim to use its browser to target more advertising, gather even more information about your browsing habits (which it happily turns over to the U.S government) and try to tempt you away from using Microsoft desktop office applications to its own growing armoury of web-based products.

Chrome is certainly very fast -outperforming Firefox and Safari, the two next fastest browsers, but Firefox’s add-ons and themes make it by far and away the number one choice.
